About this tool
Rotations add to what the page already has: a page that was already turned 90° and is rotated 90° right again ends up at 180°. The preview shows the pending change, and the counter lists exactly which pages will be saved differently.
Rotating is lossless, so you can repeat it as often as you like without the file getting worse.
Known limitations
- Rotation is in steps of 90 degrees. Slightly crooked scans cannot be straightened here.
- Rotation is saved as a page setting, which every PDF reader supports. Page content is not redrawn, so nothing loses quality.
- Bookmarks, form fields and other content are kept as they are.
Frequently asked questions
Will rotating change the quality?
No. Only the page's rotation setting changes. Text and images are not re-rendered.
My PDF reader still shows the old orientation.
Make sure you opened the downloaded file (it ends in -rotated.pdf) and not the original.
Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?
Yes, if you know its password. It is used in your browser only, and the saved file has no password.
