images.pdf with 3 A4 pages. Each image is centered and scaled to fit, without cropping.

About this tool

With “Same as each image”, every page takes the size of its image at 96 pixels per inch, which is how screens usually show pictures. With A4 or Letter, each image is scaled to fit inside the margins and centered, keeping its proportions.

The PDF can be large if your photos are large. Use the Compress button under the result to make it lighter, or resize the photos first.

Known limitations

  • JPEG and PNG files are embedded as they are. WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF images are converted first; opaque ones become high-quality JPEG and transparent ones PNG.
  • Phone photos that are stored sideways are turned upright before they are added, which re-saves them as JPEG at high quality.
  • HEIC photos from iPhones only work in browsers that can open them, such as Safari. Elsewhere, convert them first.
  • Animated GIFs use their first frame. Up to 200 images and 50 MB per image.

Frequently asked questions

Will my photos lose quality?

JPEG and PNG files are placed in the PDF without being re-compressed. Other formats and sideways phone photos are re-saved once at high quality.

Can I make a PDF from scanned pages?

Yes. Add the scans in order, choose A4 or Letter and no margins for a document-like result.

Can I add more pages to an existing PDF?

Create the PDF from your images, then select Merge with other PDFs under the result and add the existing PDF.
