About this tool
Sending or saving many photos one by one is slow. A ZIP keeps them together in one file that you can email, upload to a form or move to another device, and that opens as a normal folder.
The ZIP is built directly in your browser with Toolora’s own code: each image is read once and added unchanged, with its original name and date. Large batches are supported, including more than 65,535 files or archives over 4 GB, using the ZIP64 format that current operating systems open natively.
Known limitations
- The only real limit is your device's free storage and memory. Several gigabytes work on most computers; phones handle less, so very large batches are safer in parts.
- Images are packed exactly as they are, without re-compressing, so the ZIP is about the same size as the images together. Use the Image Compressor first if you need it smaller.
- The download is a ZIP, not a RAR. RAR is a proprietary format that browsers cannot create; ZIP opens without extra apps on Windows, macOS, Android and iPhone.
- Some browsers cannot preview HEIC photos from iPhones. They are still included in the ZIP unchanged.
Frequently asked questions
How many images can I add?
There is no fixed limit in the tool. What matters is your device: the browser needs enough memory and storage to create the ZIP. Computers usually handle thousands of photos; on a phone, split very large batches.
How do I open the ZIP on my phone?
On iPhone, open the Files app, find it in Downloads and tap it: a folder with the images appears next to it. On Android, open the Files or My Files app, tap the ZIP and choose Extract.
Will my photos lose quality?
No. The images are copied into the ZIP exactly as they are, byte for byte. Nothing is resized or re-compressed.
Can I get a RAR file instead?
Browsers cannot create RAR files, because RAR is a proprietary format. ZIP does the same job and opens on every modern computer and phone without installing anything.
